A profile of one of our recommended wedding photographers, Caroline McNally (Wild Things Wed)

Caroline McNally Wedding PhotographerCaroline McNally is a professional wedding photographer born and based in Dublin, Ireland. Through her business, Wild Things Wed, she has been able to use her passion for photography to shoot over 120 weddings, 11 of those at Kippure Estate.

A DIT graduate who achieved a 1st class honours BA in photography, she loves capturing weddings for all those beautiful, emotional moments. She’s always pushing herself to improve and capture the perfect images couples can cherish for a lifetime and be transported back to the day every time they look at them.

She describes her style as relaxed, artistic and candid. Preferring to take a documentary approach, she works as unobtrusively as possible to snap those candid moments just as they happen during the preparation and ceremony itself. Then, for the rest of the day, she takes a more creative approach to get fun, exciting images for family and couple portraits and the like.

Caroline says:

Kippure Estate has always been one of my favourite venues to shoot at. You’re right in the Wicklow Mountains [just 30 minutes from Dublin], so the location and amazing scenery it has to offer is second to none.

The style of the venue is rustic and relaxed, ideal for adventurous couples who love nature. In terms of photography, there are just so many lovely backdrops to choose from. There are absolutely tons of grounds and paths which lead you on forest walks and down through woodlands and streams.
Kippure is particularly great too for breathtaking outdoor ceremony locations!

You can choose a little gazebo which overlooks views of the Wicklow mountains and may even have horses running though fields in the background. There’s an incredible woodland area where you can get married in a clearing surrounded by a canopy of trees. What’s not to love?
