Wedding Couple at Kippure Estate

More couples seeking a quirky, memorable experience for guests – without breaking the bank or compromising on quality
Kippure Estate, one of Ireland’s best-loved wedding venues, is taking an increasing number of bookings from couples who are seeking an alternative, more personalised wedding – with a clear trend away from traditional, off-the-shelf wedding packages.
More than half of the weddings booked opt for an outdoor ceremony, which takes place in a serene pasture beside a Celtic stone circle, surrounded by beautiful scenery. There is an independent priest who is licensed to carry out such ceremonies.
With most couples choosing to have their ceremony and celebrations in the same place, it not only makes for a more seamless day, but it also saves on the costs and environmental implications involved in hiring transport.
Kippure Estate, surrounded by the glorious scenery of the Wicklow Mountains National Park, is one of the few places in the country that can offer comfortable overnight accommodation for a wedding party of up to 120 – without the high costs associated with most hotels.
What’s more, there is an Adventure Centre on site, so many couples choose to stay for the entire weekend to take advantage of the fun activities on offer, including treasure hunts, rustic barbeques, family fun days, orienteering trails and high ropes adventures.
The hospitality team at Kippure are particularly experienced in tailoring a wedding to each couple’s individual needs.  Unlike many other venues, Kippure lends itself very well as a blank canvas which can be dressed up to suit just about any theme.
Grainne Eustace, Hospitality Manager at Kippure Estate says:
“Hotels and other traditional wedding venues don’t tend to offer our level of flexibility.  We have worked with some really creative and ingenious themes and as far as we are concerned, the sky is the limit.  What’s more, the couple and their friends and family can all stay overnight together which allows the celebrations to continue for as long as they wish.”
Kippure Estate will be hosting a Wedding Open Day on March 11th 2012, 1pm – 5pm, for anyone who is interested in finding out more.  The function room will be set and dressed and there will be local suppliers on hand to answer any questions.  Please contact Grainne on +353-1-458 2889 or email Grainne@Kippure.com to register your interest.
